We happily announce that USDC has now been authorized as an electronic money token (“EMT”) under MiCA regulations, making it the first major regulated stablecoin in the European Economic Area (EEA). This milestone accentuates USDC’s safety and regulatory compliance, which are recognized throughout the EEA. While USDT remains a pivotal stablecoin, USDC’s MiCA compliance adds an extra layer of trust and security.

Trading and conversion
- Trading: USDC will continue to be a prominent option in all IXFI trading services. You can trade USDC against various cryptocurrencies without any changes.
- Conversion: Users can still convert other stablecoins to USDC effortlessly. This includes both manual conversions and automated processes within the platform.
Rewards and fees
- Referral fees: Referral and rebate fees for trading will be issued in USDC.
- Rewards: Most platform rewards, including those from the Rewards Center and various campaigns, will be distributed in USDC unless specified otherwise.
Please note that spot trading for all stable currencies, including USDT and USDC, remains available on the IXFI platform after 2024-07-01. IXFI’s handling of unauthorized stablecoins will remain consistent with previous announcements, ensuring no forced conversions.
